NPC : Head Scholar Nabihan (Duality's Vigilant Sanctum: Mythic Passage)
Quest : Piercing the Darkness: Carving a Legacy (récompense : girdle of the vigilant, belt of the vigilant)
Nabihan is in charge of the creation and loading of Propylones in Luclinite. Duality is concerned that the Shissar, currently blocked in the distance, are not returning to Norrath. Propylones are a portal mechanism, and the Nabihan must make 8 of them and therefore needs your help to make part of them.
Tip: To limit the time spent cooking, you can make several of the sub-components in larger quantities (if you have The Hand of the Maker or the Mass Production prestige feature). To do this, collect 40 raw planeshard and 40 annealed ethereal threads instead of 36, then make 10 Astral transposition fibril, 10 Metamagic Attuning Prism, 5 then 1 Quadrolith Glyph Key.
- Re- Collect the scroll allowing you to make the propylones (Luclinite Propylon Pieces Scroll). This is a rolled scroll that can appear almost anywhere in the instance and then write it down.
- Collect 24 unblemished quadrolite at Obulus Frontier (around Giant's Walk; -470, 88, 192)
- Collect 36 raw planeshard at Plane of Magic (in the Metetherial Plains, use the teleporter)
- Collect 36 annealed ethereal threads at Vesspyr (around Falinpol; 25, 196, -6)
- Return to the sanctuary using the key and pick up 252 sublime puleverulence (which spawn 2 by 2) and make the objects on the special bench below.
- Make 9 Astral transposition fibril (per piece: 4 annealed ethereal thread, 12 silvered fleck, 25 nimbic hide, 8 sublime pulverulence)
- Make 9 Metamagic Attuning Prism (per piece: 4 raw planeshard, 12 reef cluster, 25 dewpalm lumber, 8 sublime pulverulence)
- Make 6 Quadrolith Glyph Key (4 unblemished quadrolite, 12 silvered fleck, 25 strangler root, 8 sublime pulverulence)
- Make 3 Luclinite propylon (3 Metamagic attuning prism, 3 Astral transpostion fibril, 2 quadrolite glyph key, 12 sublime pulverulence)
- Go back to Nabihan who will compliment you on your work.

After helping Nabihan open a portal to Luclin to stop a Shissar attack, you will be able to get through it yourself. But first you will have to help the researchers D.I.R.T.T.Y. - Talk to Alyse Ni'Hij in the Hall of the Crafters at Teren's Grasp (2210, 483, -728)
One of their main inventors has disappeared, and yet this is not the Benosch type. He left a message saying that he would stop the Shissar invasion on his own or at least find proof of their plans. - Write and make the recipe "Ironsprocket's Mechanized Azoic Geologic Identifier Contraption" on a workbench with the components provided (a sniffer, putty to make it waterproof, an inventor's spiral to lower the melting point and a concentrated coal brick).
- Take the turns towards Luclin (The Blinding, at the top of the map)
- Find someone who has seen Benosch, in this case Nuniun Wolfbane (632, 427, -648).
He did see a little man claiming to be brought to Nexus. Given his lack of politeness (and the fact that he talked to a barbarian), he sent him to the Shiknerd hive, uh, sorry, Shik'Nar, instead, where he might end up eating insect food.

- Use the Lightning Tracker and follow the insect.
- Find a piece of paper lying around at the entrance of a tunnel (735, 30, 163)

Lord Triskian Seru will give you a speach on the importance of purity, not to be afraid and on the safety of the city before talking to you. He wants to use your research for more noble purposes but refuses to tell you about his plans, but he hopes you will soon move into the new Recuso hall.
- Go back to Hulda in the Hall to discover that Luminaires have destroyed the supplies. But after having spoken to the other craftsmen, they swore that the attack came from Galorians who are big, stupid, dangerous brutes but unable to attack a walled city[editor's note: like Gratou what]. - Find the bookstore. The transporter and the entrance door are not functional so turn right. Why is this area so empty??? It is a great mystery and the solution may lie further away.
Be careful, avoid the orange ballot boxes to keep your mind focused!
- When you arrive at the bottom of the stairs (698, -22, -582), you hear a noise coming from the northeast. Once in the Wracklands, the totem pole vibrates and shines as if it were close to something that attracts it. Go to the right when you arrive in the wracklands and pass over the mountains.
It is difficult to navigate without being able to fly so go through the mountains in 300, 104, 476 then go along the edge without (too much) falling until 180, 79, 601 and you will reach the Tegi from above. You can go up from below by following the facade from -49, 1, 581.
- Talk to the Tegi to discover the meaning of their colours
- Talk to the "red" Tegi, named Gund (a tro jeg carver; -25, 55, 632). Its red color comes from the Magic of Fire.
- Talk to the "light blue" Tegi, named Froed (a vas ren etcher; 138, 72, 680). Its blue color comes from the sky, they use the Magic of the Wind.
- Speak to the "grey and brown" Tegi, called Nosut (a grol baku retainer; 13, 15, 588). Its earth color comes from the Magic of the Earth.
- Try to see if any of the High Shaman of the Fire, Stone or Wind tribes want to talk to you. They are located right next to the previous Tegi (the shaman is random and changes every hour).

- Equip the ceremonial amulet
- Go to the ruins of the Ssraeshza Temple and find the shaman (534, 86, 460).

The newspaper does not mention the ceremony but mentions another type of Tegi, the Shadow Tegi. The author crossed one near Lake Wracklands.
- Find a Shadow Tegi near the tree by the small lake of Wracklands (753, 83, 306)

The Tegis can be aggressive, but not that aggressive. It looks more like very bad or ancient magic. Magic can become more powerful over time as the most powerful magics all come from the depths of Norrath's history and a high dose of this type of magic affects Luclin. - Welcome to[Empty Mines of Temple Ssraeshza: Piercing the Darkness]!
- Find out what happened to the Tegi. It is a trace of green blood in the center of the room, not far from where the purple ray arrives (-30, -31, 0)
- Try to heal your wounds on the purple ray.
- Go in search of the source of the magic but you will probably have to solve a puzzle first.
- Look at what the statues should hold at the 4 corners of the room and bring them the right object. (sword to the southwest, symbol to the southeast, hammer to the northeast, stick to the northwest)
- Go down the central staircase that has opened and continue on your way.
- You will find a second river of magic a little further away (-29, -61, -44)
- This one is still not pure enough to heal your wounds.
- Step into the temple and try to activate the central transporter.
Go down by activating the Shadowy focus by going down and then enter each tunnel and disable the thing almost invisible at the bottom.

- Make the Inert Staff of Luclin on a forge (vial of contained shadows, luclinite staff head, luclinite staff pommel, luclinite staff shaft, 50 coruscating coal).
The recipe is extremely long to make as it is an exceptional object. - Return to Head Scholar Nabihan in Duality's Vigilant Sanctum: Mythic Passage (using your teleportation key or walking to Sundered Frontier)
