Arrest at the gates (Talas Farin - South Qeynos near Nettleville, 684, -20, 250 )
The guards have barred the door to Nettleville and you cannot enter because of your race. If you did, you would be arrested on sight. Those arrested outside are brought to Nettleville and it's what happened to his cousin. Human friends prevented Talas from going too close to the door.
We are not bloodthirsty vampires, we feed from animal's blood slaughtered for other races' sustenance. The blood of humans, elves, gnomes and other norrathians are sustaining but also poison to us, which differentiates us from freebloods of Freeport.
you decide to get arrested to investigate what is happening in Nettleville.
- Speak to Guard Rendyl in front of the gates (681.72, -20.51, 269.61 ) who will arrest you and send you to Nettleville: Strange Tidings.
- Speak to Investigator Rashlas, sent by the Council of Ten. Demand explanations which would be much appreciated by the Qeynos Guard who are also barred from the area. He doesn't have time for that and will teleport away, asking his guards to dispose of you.
- Kill the 3 militia guards.
- Speak with a freeblood, Taria, Talas' cousin, at the militia brig (659.09, -24.93, 341.86 ). All the guards on the way will be aggro. It seems the arrests started one week ago when humans started getting killed on the street, with bite marks on the neck. Rashlas seems to be a sorcerer of some kind. Talas had dealings with the Council of Ten and might know more. Taria will give you a council medallion so you might leave the area unmolested.
- Escape Nettleville and return to Talas.
Distate for Our Kind
Talas is a Freeblood Emissary and indeed had dealings with the Circle of Ten and Rashlas recently. He collects petitions and discusses them with appointed listeners for the Council. At the beginning, Rashlas was silent but then became more out-spoken against the freebloods, saying we taxed too much of the ressources of the cities for our petty issues. The last time Talas spoke to the council was two weeks ago when he asked for help from the Temple of Life as some freebloods had fallen sick due to contaminated bovine blood. Rashlas said that we shoudln't bother the clerics with something we can cure ourselves, being immortals, ignoring the fact that we can die of disease.
Rashlas was attending the meetings on behalf of the Circle of Ten and now assumes control of the investigations. Question is: who is rashlas representing from the Council? Stara Vincent, Rashlas confident and lover might help. She gave Talas and Taria a list of healers in Antonica to try to find a cure for the disease. She is research assistant in the Concordium.
- Speak to Stara Vincent in the Concordium Tower (SQ, red teleport 702.96, 41.31, 103.12 ). She will answer you questions, not because you're a freeblood, but because Rashlas is a monster that needs to be stopped. She overheard a meeting between him and another man concerning a Freeblood eradication. He had concocted a scheme to poison the main food supply for the freebloods. Rashlas has taken over the distribution of the blood provided by the butchers to Nettleville and poisoned it.
The freebloods are recovering from the poison so Rashlas had to revert to more drastic measures: using human as bait.
Stara will try to break into his house to search for evidences and meet you in Elddar Grove. - Meet Stara by the lone tree between two walls in Elddar Grove, north of the docks (575.95, -20.56, -275.72 ). She'll tell you she's sorry... And Rashlas will appear behind her and murder her. You know more than you should, and she did too, so he decided to kill you both. The leadership of Qeynos is waning while Freeport gets stronger. The city will be soon in upheavals and demand a new leadership. Freebloods are an abomination to human and elf kind and he wants to make sure Qeynosians know your "true ways".
- Defeat the 3 crazed freebloods summoned by Rashlas before teleporting away
- Return to Talas
Valor of the Freeblood - reward : ring of the Freeblood
Rashas fails to realize that the people of Qeynos backed up the queen decision to allow us to settle in. Rashas has to be in league with someone in the Circle of Ten. The Freebloods who attacked you were rabid and sent by Rashlas, so he has some control over them. They have the Blood Sight: they lost all thought and seek only blood. It is usually a reaction to starvation.
- Enter Nettleville by showing the council medallion to Guard Rendyl
- Find Rashlas in the house near the Peat Bog door (587.31, -19.17, 357.82 ). He is performing a roitual on a Freeblood.
- Kill the two guards sent by Rashlas
- Kill Rashlas
- Bring Taria back from the brink. She his desperatedly hungy and needs blood from the living. You offer your own to her.
- Speak to Taria. She and Talas were agents for the Circle of Ten, sent by the queen to uncover a plot in Nettleville to overthrow her. My actions are the reason why the D'Ryils, our creators, and the rest of the vampire kind hate us: we speak for ourselves and are not bound to a master or family.
Sadly, the true traitor is not known as Rashlas was killed. Taria is sorry that hey had to decieve you and there was no poison but a plot to entice you to continue to help, which you did, even if you did kill Rashlas. The truth behind it will never be known, but at least the freeblood will not be turned any more. - Return to Talas.

Bigger Better Bor (Trina Tinkerton - North Qeynos on Inventor's Treshold 269.95, -13.01, 66.57)
The Tinkerton family is famous for its tinkerers but Trina is only a novice. The feud between the nightbloods of rivervale and the halflings has spilled over in Qeynos and now Baubbleshire is a place of struggle and bloodshed and Trina cannot defend her home due to her lack of skills. The Qeynos Guard is streched too thin to help. She's trying to construct a new and better bot but is lacking some metal parts.
- Enter Baubbleshire: Vale's Shadow and collect scrapped bots for parts.

Stronger Faster Bot
After a bit of work, she sends you to Baubbleshire to test the new bot against attacking nightbloods.
- Interface with the Seek and Destroy Bot model I next to her so it can follow you to the Baubbleshire. You'll just have to point it to the mobs but may need to help him a bit.
- Enter the Baubbleshire.
- Kill 3 invading lamias or nightbloods. The bot will follow you as a pet (you don't need to send him to attack and can kill the mobs alone without poblems)
- Return to Trina to tell her the bot malfunctionned and was destroyed after a few confrontations. The armor plating from the scrap bots was not enough to withstand such hits even with some evasive maneuvers programmed.
- Ask some help from her big brother Rohn near the Concordium Tower (SQ, outside, 658.02, -19.38, 150.76 ). He's quite happy she started tinkering. He doesn't know how to program evasive maneuvres sequences but he knows somebody who could.
- Find Johrsen, hidding near Nettleville (678.60, -19.43, 249.42 ). He thinks she really should get a better armor for her bot and that "dwarveses" could help.
- Return to Trina
To Fail is To Learn - reward : ring of the gnomish tinkerer
Trina knows the perfect dwarf, Borach Anvilstrike.
- Speak to Borach Anvilstrike near Graystone Yard (QH 879.96, -25.48, -53.62 ). Sadly, he's lacking tools to craft the armor: they stayed in the Yard.
- Enter Graystone Yard: Herald of Rage and find Borach's toolbox (912.25, -20.06, -135.49 ). You'll be jumped by 3 enraged barbarians and dwarves when you come near it
- Pick up the tools
- Escape Graystone Yard and bring the toolbox to Borach. He'll work on the new armor plating and give it to you.
- Return to Trina.
- Head to Baubbleshire with the new Seek and Destroy Bot Model IIV (it'll automagically become your pet, no need to interface) and kill 10 invading lamias and nightbloods.
- Return to Trina who is very happy. This is one small step for gnomes but one giant leap for gnome-kind!
Human racial
To Honor is Human (Patricia Benson - SQ, across from Tin Soldier, 551, -16, 235)
We humans have always been referees to others in case of racial tensions. Humans work as go between to ensure the other races in the city can live together. Erudites and Kerra have long be at odds but are now starting to work together in Starcrest Commune. We must insure that they continue to work together once the crisis is finished.
- Go to Starcrest Commune: Shattered Sanctum and speak to a Kerran leading the defense. It's Jeretis, just across the door (706.01, -20.39, 262.62 ). He accepts to support the idea of continuing to work together afterwards.
- Return to Patricia. A new crisis is forming within Nettleville and the Circle of Ten, ruling council of Qeynos next to Antonia, has taken interest in it.
- Speak to guard Rendyl outside of Nettleville to learn more (680.25, -20.38, 266.31 ). He got orders not to let anyone enter but he saw members of the militia draging freebloods from and to Nettleville. You'll need permission from the Circle to enter.
- Return to Patricia
The Virtue of the Just
Patricia can write up fake documents. We need to know if there's some plot within the suburb and if need be, Patricia can explain the reasoning to Antonia.
- Speak to Guard Rendyl. The paper looks official enough for him
- Enter Nettleville: Strange tidings
- Look for evidences of what is happening
- Gather a torn diary page at 638.78, -20.42, 284.16 and read it. It seems the freeblood are set up.
- Gather a torn diary page at 651.89, -24.93, 354.64 and read it. A freeblood was happy and jovial but started attacking residents after seeing an investigator. Something is wrong.
- Speak to Investigator Rashlas just behind your back (656.42, -24.93, 351.36 in the prison or 644.46, -20.42, 284.76 in the first house) who says that this is a matter of the Circle of Ten alone and that citizens shoudln't come to investigate.
- When you "resist" arrest, he gives the order to kill you. Kill the two guards and escape Nettleville (all militia members will become aggro).
- Return to Patricia
A Deeper plot - reward : ring of the Qeynosian
Bart, Patricia's son, said he is "just like you" and went looking for you in Nettleville.
- Speak to Guard Rendyl. Bart was indeed searching you and they spoke of the houses inside. Rendyl may have entered the area by another way.
- Enter Nettleville and seach the house near Peat Bog door (594.71, -19.17, 361.53 )
- Within, you'll Investigator Rashlas trying to change a freeblood and make him kill Bartholomew Benson, hoping that Qeynos will chase freebloods out of the city.
- Talk to the kid. He wanted to be a hero just like you but only got into trouble. You'll tell him to stay with his mom and to come to you when he'll be older so you can teach him the ropes.
- Return to Patricia.
Kerra racial
show questsBrothers in Arms (Lakosha Maera - South Qeynos near Starcrest Commune 669.06, -19.48, 227.48)
She'll ask you what the greatest threat to Kerra existance is: heretics. Some of our kerra brothers answer "Erudites". Our elders have moved to dissolve conflict between the Erudites and us but we seek this peace with actions and not words. The Erudites have dire problems in Starcrest Commune and she's searching for Kerra combat masters. She knows about one, Ajarn, Bouncer at the Lion's Mane Inn. Convincing him might be tricky as he's not very talkative and doesn't like Erudites, heretics or not.
- Recruit Ajarn (551.83, -9.56, 135.32 ). He's not interested but suggests to speak with Laharn Rahai near the Fountain of Storms.
- Speak to Laharn Rahai (485.04, -11.35, 130.90 ). He wonders why you come to him while he's meditating. He's now old, but could come if the Erudites wanted it. But the Erudites will not ask, seeing other races as inferiors and Kerra as animals. Laharn declines the offer but say he'll come if Ajarn changes his mind. They were of the same tribe on Kerra Island, Ajarn being the greatest warrior and Laharn the spiritual leader. He suggests you to rekindle Ajarn's inner fire by bringing a true battle to him, and so by defeating him.
- Go back to Ajarn. He wants the fight but says Laharn will want it too and proposes a two against one fight in the Elddar Grove Silent Fist Dojo.
- Meet them there (756.55, -19.65, -378.55 ). They will have brought a third fighter, Amazu Kharliko, master of the staff. You'll be outnumbered three to one. On Kerra Isle, the adulthood ritual was 5 to 1.
Speak to Ajarn again to start the trial and zone into Silent Fist Dojo.
The 3 kerra will all attack, but are not linked. When you bring one to 0%, he turns back into an NPC. - Return to Lakosha to bring the news that the three kerra will help. You were lucky, they are the two best fighters and the best healer of the community!
Unlikely Allies
While you were recruiting, she spoke to the Erudites. A mage named Oomitelmora wishes to counter the heretics with a joined operation.
- Speak to Oomitelmora in Starcrest Commune: Shattered Sanctum (705.18, -20.40, 258.43 ). He'll say that all kerra are the same, brave descendants of Evora, offspring of Vah Shir and Kerra of old. The heretics have opened rifts for undead legions. He'll give you vials to smash near the portals and the vapors should cause the portals to collapse.
- Destroy undead rifts.

- 751.73, -24.76, 341.14

- Return to Oomitelmora. Dire events happened while you were on the field.
- Return to Lakosha to get more informations.
A Master Among Masters
One weakened heretic fled through a portal to Oakmyst Forest. This heretic wasn't an Erudite but a Kerra... Kerra necromancers are extremely rare, but some manage to grasp the dark arts. And a Kerra has good tracking skills and can hide more easily. Ajarn and Laharn were sent with erudite mages to track her, but they haven't returned yet.
- Go to Oakmyst Forest through the bells and search for a trail.
- You'll first find a dead Erudite and your heightened vision helps you to spot a trail (954.07, 5.83, -293.05 )
- The trail leads you to a second erudite body and your keen hearing allows you to follow another trail (957.26, 2.84, -223.23 ).
- You'll find a dying Laharn (920.14, 15.84, -191.15 ) who will tell you that the heretic is very powerfull and that he fears for Ajarn. Enter the cave near him to confront the heretic.
- Head into the cave (910.83, 14.87, -178.84 ). You'll be ambushed by undeads and see Taskla the Initiate Heretic defeating Ajarn.
- Confront the Heretic. She will accuse you of leaving among the people that would destroy our race but she is an hypocrite as she leaved among heretic erudites herself. She wanted to bring down the Erudites in Qeynos, learning from them then turning against them. But your alliance with the erudites put a stop to those plans.
She then speak of the ancient times, when Kejaan united Odus tribes to give us prosperity, until the High Men of Erud came and took our lands. Meanwhile, you mean to live alongside the Erudites in peace. - Return to Lakosha after defeating Taskla.

A Past Forgotten
Tilla is disapointed because we always helped Qeynos even if they did not knows it. The ratongas fled the Underfoot for Freeport, looking for a haven from the roekilik and their Dark Agenda. Freeport was a good haven because the city fit us well... But there are some rumors that we also tried to come to Qeynos. There could be records in the library.
- Speak with a Concordium Apprentice Librarian Cippin (SQ - Mage Tower - red teleport 705.86, 41.31, 105.16 ). This ratonga loves books but as soon as he came to the library, he was put to gathering loose books and putting them on shelves. The mages don't believe it's their duty to return books... and we're supposed to be the messy ones! There's no books written by ratongas older than the past decade, and those are mostly ratongas who defected to Qeynos. Cippin heard rumors of people living below the city. There might be writings or a map of the library in the Down Below

- Return to Tilla. The book speaks of the first meeting between ratongas and Qeynos officials and how we were thrown out. Vatheel and his friends stayed in the city afterwards, even if they weren't welcomes. They felt kinship with the peoples, collected knowledges, acted as lookouts and helped rebuilding the city. - Talk to Blint who is amazed. He'll say that his sisters, one of the Directors of Scholars of the Lost expedition in Moors of Ykesha, told him that ratongas showed up just after they started digging and immediatly began to contribute. Their ability to absorb and process informations is amazing and their ingenuity allowed a lot of things to be done. Blint wants a ratonga close at hand from now on. You can't stay because you need to report.
- Go back to Tilla. She's very glad of this and think we can try showing people what we did. At that time, the ground shakes and the top of the Concordium Tower his covered in smoke.
- Speak to Librarian Cippin (red teleport 705.86, 41.31, 105.16 ). An Erudite arrived and accused the Concordium of hiding "true power". She unleashed a series of necromantic spells on junior instructors.
- You'll decide to confront the necromancer (zone into Syndra's Rampage zone by talking to Cippin)
Kill Syndra Del'Zeem - Return to Cippin to tell him the necromancer. Was she from Freeport? Cippin says she has a link with the necromancer that came to Starcrest to preach Necromancy. This dark knowledge shouldn't be allowed to take root in Qeynos.
You have an idea: sneaking into Starcrest to destroy their research and study materials. Cippin loves this very ratonga-ish idea and points you to a sewer grate that could be used as a secret entrance. - Enter the secret entrance to Starcrest Commune (703.68, -19.45, 233.95 ).

- Meet with the General in the instance "The Office of General Golias Sydwen". He wants to "thank you for the mess in the Concordium Tower". He even dares to imply that the ratongas coming to Qeynos and the necromancers may be linked... When you protest that the necromancers are getting training from a Paineel Erudite, he thinks that I know that because necromancers are working with ratongas.
When you show him the books retrieved, he just says that it's all a forgery and doesn't want to believe that ratongas provided the plans and died for the city...
Finally, he says that the Swyden family died to protect the city, led those troop movements and that you're a ratonga and will be arrested. - Queen Antonia Bayle arrives to hold the arrest order. She insists that ratongas are trying to fit in the city since she authorized them to come, but Golias says we were always enemies.
