DISCLAIMER: This page is a translation of my French walkthrough, translated using Deepl translator for a quick english version. I didn't fix the translation (check EQ2Traders or Wikia for better wording). I didn't go out of my way to fix the layout either. Goal is to be practical, not perfect.

15 years after the release of Everquest 2, we are finally returning to Luclin! The Blood of Luclin extension, released in December 2019, adds a new third (110 to 120) and, of course, a craft timeline.

To be able to take it, you will first have to do the two prelude quests that start via an email sent by Duality if you are a level 110 craftsman.

 


Prelude Quests

To start this quest, you must be 110 in crafts. You will receive an email from Duality sending you the "a Vigilant Sanctum Key" key that will teleport you to the Hole instance containing the quest.

 

NPC : Head Scholar Nabihan (Duality's Vigilant Sanctum: Mythic Passage)

Nabihan is in charge of the creation and loading of Propylones in Luclinite. Duality is concerned that the Shissar, currently blocked in the distance, are not returning to Norrath. Propylones are a portal mechanism, and the Nabihan must make 8 of them and therefore needs your help to make part of them.
Tip: To limit the time spent cooking, you can make several of the sub-components in larger quantities (if you have The Hand of the Maker or the Mass Production prestige feature). To do this, collect 40 raw planeshard and 40 annealed ethereal threads instead of 36, then make 10 Astral transposition fibril, 10 Metamagic Attuning Prism, 5 then 1 Quadrolith Glyph Key.

One of their main inventors has disappeared, and yet this is not the Benosch type. He left a message saying that he would stop the Shissar invasion on his own or at least find proof of their plans. Fortunately, he is able to invent any object from his environment, which could help him.
Since you plan to explore the other side of the portal, you can go looking for it based on the note he left, talking to the Wise Master and using the Mechanical Bidule Azoic Geological Material Indentifier (M.A.G.I.C., Mechanized Azoic Geologic Identifier Contraption (azoic = lifeless), also known as "Ironsprocket's Magic" after its inventor, which allows you to analyze your environment and create recipes based on what you own and what is around you. She will give you the recipe and a receipt to retrieve the components.

Sanctus Seru

After you realize that you have survived the Shik'Nar hive, the light immediately becomes much more pleasant. - Enter Sanctus Seru (721, 57, 706) and go up to the floor via the left teleporter (-199, 86, 287)
- Enter the Manufacturing Hall ([Sanctus Seru: Manufacturing Hall] in -185, 179, 97)


- Talk to Hulda Flintbraid (148, -510, 4). It seems that the resources sent by the city of Recuso Tor are late.
As you offer your help, a messenger, Gibbons, arrives to say that there is a manifest problem for delivery. Hulda then spots the book in your bag and tells you that strange things happen to books here but that you should check with a magician. But she's not sure she can trust you. So you decide to take a craft test.
- Talk to Hilda again when you're ready, the test is timid!
Sit in the chair next to her and start the Test. You'll have five minutes to finish. You must not leave the Hall, stand or speak until the end of the test (i.e. the full 5 minutes)

Hulda is facing a dilemma, she has to go to an important meeting but she also has to solve ongoing delivery problems. So here you are, requisitioned to represent the Recuso craftsmen, you're going to have to dress up!

- Collect the ingredients for your clothes in The Blinding
o a Jumping Creeper (rare) on roots
o 32 common roots
o 28 Luclizite clusters on soft metal
o 12 Radiant Algae on bushes
- Make "Sanctus Seru Formal Garb" on a sewing dummy (1 jumping creeper, 32 slow creeping root, 28 luclizite cluster, 12 radiant algae, 25 coruscating filament).
- Equip the clothes (while in Seru or you'll have to unequip-reequip to get the door clickable)
- Go to the entrance of Arx Scala in Sanctus Seru, upstairs and enter the instance (door indicating "to Arx Seru" -194, 183, 0)
- Once in[Sanctus Seru: Party for One[Piercing the Darkness]], sit at the table. Lord Triskian Seru will give you a speach on the importance of purity, not to be afraid and on the safety of the city before talking to you. He wants to use your research for more noble purposes but refuses to tell you about his plans, but he hopes you will soon move into the new Recuso hall.

- Go back to Hulda in the Hall to discover that Luminaires have destroyed the supplies. But after having spoken to the other craftsmen, they swore that the attack came from Galorians who are big, stupid, dangerous brutes but unable to attack a walled city[editor's note: like Gratou what]. It seems there is magic behind all this, perhaps the same magic that makes my book change. This should be studied.

Indeed, the book has changed depending on the location, and you even found an entry from Benosh's hand at the end. It seems he did not voluntarily enter Shik'nar Hive. Dani, as its name suggests, is the public search assistant for the extension, and will give you missions when you have advanced enough in the timeline.
